Position Description/ Requirements

The SAP PLM Senior Analyst will be a part of an international team that designs, develops and delivers new applications for Koch Industries. Koch Industries is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees around the world, with subsidiaries involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. Koch Technology Center (KTC) is being developed in India to extend its IT operations, as well as act as a hub for innovation in the IT function. As KTC rapidly scales up its operations in India, it’s employees will get opportunities to carve out a career path for themselves within the organization. This role will have the opportunity to join on the ground floor and will play a critical part in helping build out the Koch Technology Center (KTC) over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant international exposure to the employees.

This position will work with the Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products IT and Research organizations as a part of the Concept to Market team. The role creates long-term value through support of data processes and applications. The selected candidate should have hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP PLM, as well as the ability to help drive adoption, to identify, communicate and implement SAP PLM best practice and integration improvement opportunities. The candidate must demonstrate initiative, good economic-thinking, analytical skills, good verbal and written communication skills and a sense of urgency.

What You Will Need To Bring With You:

  • Troubleshooting customer reported issues and assisting users with day to day production support in a timely manner
  • Able to multi-task in a high velocity of change environment, while following standards and strict change control procedures.
  • Create, edit, maintain documentation (Functional, Technical, Test Plans, Change Requests)
  • Ability to operate as IT representative for Engineering PDM business process initiatives. Ability to collaborate with Engineering Leadership Team to identify enhancements to business processes
  • Developing and executing test plans including unit and integration testing and coordination of user acceptance testing
  • Working collaboratively with an extended team of functional and technical resources. Must be able to lead and provide guidance to other team members
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Analyzing problems to provide solution alternatives and recommendations
  • Performing root cause and impact analysis
  • Understanding of Recipe Management process including BOMs (bill of Material), recipe management, product description sheets
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements; Translating requirements into functional and technical solutions
  • Ability to cope with ambiguity
  • Ability to influence direction



  • Overall relevant functional experience could range between 3 to 8 years
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on SAP PLM systems; contributed to multiple SAP PLM implementations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology/engineering related field
  • Strong hands-on configuration experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, solve problems relating to SAP PLM
  • Knowledge of Design and Configuration in SAP PLM
  • Hands-on knowledge in the following development and management of:
  • Recipe Development
  • Specification Management
  • Engineering Records or Change Records – Process Routes
  • Engineering Change Management
  • Bill of Materials
  • Document Management System
  • Classification
  • Material Master Basics
  • Active process knowledge including understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for a product from Ideation phase until final deactivation of a product (end-of-life)
  • Strong verbal and written communication; Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and innovation
  • Knowledge of PLM best practices and industry standards
  • Experience in SAP system development lifecycle from understanding of requirements to proper design techniques, configuration, writing specifications, testing, and documentation as needed.

  • Knowledge/proficiency of Engineering Control Center (ECTR) desirable
  • Consumer Products industry experience or process manufacturing industries
  • SAP knowledge of MM
  • Led blueprint/design and realization phases for at least one SAP PLM implementations.
  • Working knowledge of Regulate Products industry
  • SAP ABAP troubleshooting knowledge
  • Master’s degree in Business
  • Ability to create training material, standard operating procedures organize and lead training events for PLM
  • Participation in an on-call rotation for support
